WineTree is a local Winery that produces “Traditional” wines right here in Wood County. We grow grapes, ferment and bottle our wines on the WineTree farm.

Red Wine

Noiret™

American Wine Society National Wine Competition Bronze Plus

A dry red wine. Distinctive red wine richly colored with superior tannin structure. Notes of green and black pepper, with raspberry and mint aromas.
Parentage: Cornell University hybrid: NY65 and Steuben
Winemakers note: Grapes for WineTree 2008 Noiret™ were able to hang on the vines during an extended warm fall giving the wine its fantastic color.

Cabernet Sauvignon

A dry red wine. Aromas and flavors include black currant, blackberry, mint Parentage: Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc Winemakers note: Harvested during an “almost perfect” growing season and fermented dry with ten months in medium oak. This is truly a “Retro” Cabernet Sauvignon, great with food. Good old fashioned dry red wine with no added alcohol, chemicals or overpowering oak.

Red Satin

A dry red wine. Full bodied with bold aromas that include black pepper, blackberry, mint.
Parentage: Noiret™, Cornell University hybrid: NY65 and Steuben Winemakers note: Extended Wisconsin Oak exposure gives this wine a smooth finish.

White Wine

Riesling

American Wine Society National Wine Competition Bronze

A dry white wine. Crisp taste with zesty fresh fruit flavors, perfumey aromas and honeysuckle notes.
Parentage: European variety. Ancient German Traminer and Roman Gouais Blanc.
Winemakers note: 2008 WineTree Riesling is produced as a 100% varietal. This is accomplished using grapes crushed in the fall of 2008 that were of exceptional quality.

Chardonnay

Charleston All That Jazz Wine Competition Silver

A dry white wine. Crisp, nicely balanced wine with delicate aroma of ripe apricot, pear, apple.
Parentage: Traminer and Pinot
Winemakers note: 2009 WineTree Chardonnay- fruit forward, dry, limited oak.
2010 French Chardonnays are hoping to be this good and California is playing catch-up.

Traminette

American Wine Society National Wine Competition Bronze

A semi sweet white wine. The spicy, floral aromas are pronounced with good body and a clean finish.
Parentage: Cornell University French American Hybrid: Joannes Seyve and Gewurztraminer
Winemakers note: This wine gives the palate a sense of sweetness though it has been fermented dry. Delightful aromas. During primary fermentation, the floral bouquet of this wine could be sensed throughout the neighborhood.

Cayuga White

07 Dry, 09 Semi-Sweet, WineTree Estate Cayuga White, Dry

A dry white wine. Crisp, nicely balanced wine with delicate aroma and fruity overtones of green apple.
Parentage: Cornell University French American Hybrid: Seyve and Schuyler
Winemakers note: Reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc, Pino Grigio or Riesling. This variety is gaining a regional identity in the east as a world class white wine.

LightHouse

An off-dry white wine. Classic Riesling slightly sweet.
Parentage: European variety. Ancient German Traminer and Roman Gouais Blanc.
Winemakers note: This semi-sweet Riesling has a European flair – a strong tradition of sweet riesling with a smooth finish.

MainSail ~ WineTree Vineyards

A dry white wine.
Crisp, fruity flavors with a smooth finish.
Parentage: 50% Cayuga White and 50% Riesling
Winemakers note: MainSail is a blend of two outstanding wines that compliment each other. This is a product of my “New York” influences in blending techniques with remarkable results.

Sweet Wine

Catawba

Sweet fruity wine with big grape aroma
Parentage: North American Native Grape
Winemakers note: The quality of the catawba grapes enabled us to present this wine as a 100% varietal. Nicknamed “Grand-ma’s Farm” for the fresh sweet grapes we used to pick as kids from Grandma‚Äôs grape arbor.

Angel Blush

A sweet blend of Catawba and Fredonia.
North American Native Grape Blend- 75% Catawba and 25% Fredonia
